Sendai City (仙台市)

Sendai City by night photo

Sendai is a large city with a population of one million and organized in governmental terms and One of the fastest-growing and most fascinating cities of Japan’s Tohoku region. And it is recognized throughout Japan as a modern city in unity with nature.

The city retains gorgeous sceneries, such as the Hirosegawa River that runs through the main Sendai and the dense zelkova trees that line its streets. Greenery is extremely plentiful in the center of the city, which has tree-lined streets and parks. As a result, Sendai is called the “City of Trees.”

Sendai station has two subway lines intersection. The Namboku Line runs approximately north from Izumi Chuo to Tomizawa in the south. Food & Souvenir

These are the famous dishes you must try when you travel to Sendai. Zunda, Sasakama, and Gyutan. Zunda is a centuries-old crushed edamame confection that can be taken satisfaction in mochi rice or as a modern zunda shake. Sasakama (or so-called sasakamaboko), is a bamboo leaf-shaped fish cake symbolic of the fertile fishing grounds of the Sanriku Coast with a connection to the Date Clan! And finally, Gyutan is grilled beef tongue, juicy meat. The dish was produced moderately just in 1948 when a yakitori restaurant owner in Sendai dedicated his business to the preparation of beef tongue dishes. It has risen instantly in rage and scattered throughout Japan.

Every food is delicious, so I strongly think you should taste them. I tell you you won’t be disappointed. 😊 do travel in Sendai and enjoy the delicious cuisine and the fabulous sightseeing view.

Things to see and do in and around Sendai include the Sendai City Museum / Zuihoden Temple/ Sendai Castle (Aoba Castle)/ the sculpture-lined Jozenjistreet, and the scenic island-dotted bay at Matsushima on the coast as well as wonderful Zao Onsen in the nearby mountains. Both offer hot-springs & incredible views. Shiroishi Castle is around 50 minutes by train to the south.q There are tourist attractions that I haven’t visited yet but hoping I will.
